Middle School Students
To help us make the most accurate part assignments and ensemble placements, middle school students are encouraged to prepare and record the etude and scale listed below. This is optional but strongly encouraged. If you are not able to learn everything, record as much as you can.

In addition to this, students will participate in ensemble playing and daily masterclasses designed to build strong fundamentals, develop tone and technique, and foster collaborative music-making in a supportive environment.
High School Students
High school students are invited to submit a recording of a solo for a special performance opportunity. Selected students will be chosen to perform in a masterclass with Alex Moore, Principal Horn of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, where he will work with you on your solo.
Please upload your solo to Google Drive and send us a link at austinhorncamp@gmail.com by May 31 to be considered.
High school students will also participate in advanced ensemble playing and daily masterclasses focused on preparing for auditions, solo performance, and collegiate-level playing.
